About the Journal of Antioxidant Activity

A premier open access platform advancing antioxidant research from molecular mechanisms to clinical applications—connecting scientists, clinicians, and health professionals worldwide.

Pioneering Antioxidant Science for Health Innovation

The Journal of Antioxidant Activity (JAA) (ISSN 2471-2140) is dedicated to publishing rigorous, peer-reviewed research that explores the therapeutic potential of antioxidants in preventing and managing critical health conditions. From cancer prevention to neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular health to inflammatory disorders, JAA serves as a vital resource for understanding how antioxidants influence human health at molecular, cellular, and systemic levels.

Our mission is to accelerate the translation of antioxidant research into evidence-based clinical practices and public health strategies. By fostering collaboration among biochemists, nutritionists, pharmacologists, clinicians, and food scientists, JAA bridges laboratory discoveries with real-world health applications. We maintain the highest standards of scientific integrity through rigorous peer review, ethical publishing practices, and commitment to open access dissemination.

Comprehensive Research Scope

JAA covers a broad spectrum of antioxidant research, addressing both fundamental science and clinical applications. Our scope encompasses natural and synthetic antioxidants, their mechanisms of action, bioavailability, safety profiles, and therapeutic efficacy across diverse health conditions.

We particularly encourage submissions examining antioxidants in the context of cancer prevention, macular degeneration, Alzheimer's disease, arthritis-related conditions, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, aging, and oxidative stress-related disorders. Research exploring dose-response relationships, supplement safety, comparative effectiveness, and clinical trial outcomes are especially valuable to our readership.

Open Access Commitment

JAA operates under a fully open access model, ensuring that groundbreaking antioxidant research reaches the widest possible audience without barriers. All published articles are freely available to researchers, clinicians, educators, and the public worldwide, maximizing the impact and accessibility of scientific knowledge.

Our rapid publication process—typically 12-15 days from submission to first decision—ensures timely dissemination of critical findings while maintaining rigorous quality standards. Authors retain copyright under Creative Commons licensing, facilitating broad reuse while ensuring proper attribution.
